Meet the
Go Figure Team
Good accounting doesn’t happen alone. Behind every set of monthly accounts, every VAT filing, and every “your numbers are looking healthy” message, there’s a team of people who genuinely care about getting it right.
At Go Figure, we’re a team of nine and growing. Each of us brings something different to the table, but we’re all here for the same reason: to make your financial life simpler, clearer, and a whole lot less stressful.
We’re proud of the team we’ve built. Different backgrounds, different strengths, one shared commitment – to be the accounting partner your business actually deserves.
Farvah Zaidi
Growth Accountant
The Detail Detective. Tea in hand, always.
Farvah joined Go Figure at the start of her career and hasn't looked back. She supports clients with monthly bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budgeting; and she genuinely loves digging into the numbers to find what's hiding in there. Opportunities. Inefficiencies. The thing no one spotted until Farvah did.
ACCA qualified with a specialism in financial modelling, she brings real technical depth to her work paired with a personable, adaptable approach that means she meets each client exactly where they are.
She particularly enjoys working with clients who want to understand their finances, not just receive them, the ones who ask questions and want to get better.
Outside of work, Farvah bakes, makes art, watches movies, and drinks an amount of tea that the rest of the team find impressive.
Ruby Lazaga
Business Finance Lead
The Backbone. The Mentor. The One Who's Seen It All (Twice).
With over 20 years in accounting, Ruby is the steady hand behind a lot of what makes Go Figure work. She supports clients across both financial and administrative functions — keeping records accurate, organised, and stress-free — while quietly mentoring the next generation of the team and helping them understand how everything fits together.
Ruby gets real satisfaction from the problem-solving side of this job. There's always something to untangle, and she loves the moment it clicks. She believes in building genuine trust with clients and takes pride in being the kind of accountant you can rely on completely.
She works best with clients who value consistency, communicate openly, and understand that good financial support is an investment, not an afterthought.
Outside of the office, you'll find Ruby on a hiking trail or setting up camp somewhere scenic, refuelled, naturally, by a good coffee.
Mohamed Darwish
Client Finance Executive
The Accuracy Officer. Firmly team hot chocolate.
Mohamed is the person on the team who notices what everyone else misses. From recording transactions and reconciling accounts to preparing schedules and supporting VAT filings, he brings a methodical, detail-first approach to everything he touches and takes real pride in making sure clients' financial information is always clean, clear, and reliable.
Since starting his career in 2021, he's built strong experience across client accounting, reporting, and variance analysis - and he's particularly good at spotting issues early, before they become problems.
With a background in Accounting and Finance, an MBA in Finance, and certifications across Xero, Tally, and QuickBooks, Mohamed brings both the technical range and the commercial awareness to support businesses at different stages.
He works best with clients who are organised, responsive, and value financial clarity.
Outside of work, Mohamed travels when he can, watches movies, and is the only person in the office who has rejected both tea and coffee in favour of hot chocolate. He stands by this.
Clyde Fishery
Client Financial Controller
The Numbers Strategist. The Safe Pair of Hands. Focused on the bigger picture.
Clyde works as a dedicated finance partner to one of Go Figure's larger clients, overseeing the day-to-day financial operations that keep the business running smoothly. From managing supplier payments and cash flow to overseeing VAT, tax planning, and KSA compliance requirements, he provides the financial oversight and control that growing businesses need to make confident decisions.
With extensive accounting and finance experience, Clyde looks beyond the numbers to understand how financial decisions impact the wider business. He works closely with leadership teams to improve processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial obligations are met efficiently and accurately. His ability to balance strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail makes him a trusted extension of his client's team.
What Clyde enjoys most about his role is becoming deeply involved in a business and helping it achieve its goals. By building strong relationships and understanding the full operational picture, he can provide practical financial guidance that creates real value. Outside of work, Clyde enjoys spending time with family and friends, keeping active, and continually expanding his knowledge of business and finance.
Laila Clarke
Operations Manager
The Glue. The Engine. Tea in hand, improv in heart.
Laila is the reason Go Figure runs the way it does. She oversees client billing and the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that keeps everything moving, the systems, the processes, the details most people never notice until something goes wrong. With Laila around, they don’t.
With a background working with small businesses since 2015, her specialisms are process and organisation. She’s brilliant at making complicated things simple, and she genuinely loves the problem-solving side of it. What keeps her motivated? Watching small business owners bring their ideas to life.
She holds a degree in costume design for film which perhaps explains her eye for detail and instinct for making things look right, even when they’re complex under the surface. Outside of work, she volunteers at a local improv theatre. She works best with small business owners who have big ambitions and the drive to match.
Ashly Mathews
Client Finance Manager
The Compliance Specialist. Forensically thorough. The person you want when the numbers really matter.
Ashly brings over 15 years of accounting and finance experience to Go Figure. His work covers the full scope of financial compliance, finalising accounts, preparing management accounts, filing VAT returns, and handling corporate tax submissions from Small Business Relief filings through to complex long-form returns. He doesn’t just get things done; he gets them done to a standard that holds up under scrutiny.
His core expertise is in financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance. Accurate records, clean reconciliations, deadlines met, every time. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an MBA, along with a Diploma in UAE VAT and a Diploma in UAE Corporate Tax.
What Ashly values most about working with clients is the breadth of it — different industries, different business models, it keeps the work genuinely interesting and means he’s always building stronger professional relationships along the way. Outside of work, he spends time with family and friends, stays active at the gym, and enjoys movies and sport.
Riya Jiby
Client Finance Manager
The Accuracy Anchor. Numbers balanced, always.
Riya is the reason Go Figure's numbers always add up. As Client Finance Manager, she manages accounting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and supports clients with compliance requirements such as VAT and Corporate Tax. She ensures businesses maintain accurate financial records and helps them improve their financial processes, keeping everything precise and reliable.
With over 4 years of experience, Riya began her career in auditing at EY, one of the Big 4 firms, before joining Go Figure. Her specialism spans bookkeeping, financial reporting, VAT, Corporate Tax compliance, and cloud accounting platforms including Zoho Books, QuickBooks, and Xero. She enjoys solving financial challenges, bringing clarity through accurate information, and helping businesses stay organised.
What motivates her most is building strong relationships with clients and supporting them in making informed financial decisions that drive growth. She thrives working with growing businesses and entrepreneurs who value professional financial support and are focused on scaling their operations.
